I am going to post several pics of a 46 ford coupe I recently aquired. This was made into a so-called hot rod in the 70's...skill factor on this car is about what you would expect from a no-nothing engineer. Now my skill levels are not really high..but tell me if you think this body is worth saving. First pic is where they cut the crossmember out along with bottom half of firewall...all the cross bracing in the floorpan has been hacked out up front....I have a new frame..so that is not a problem...mainly body issues running boards/rockers are rusty..bondo everywhere..electric doors(that don't work)..dash was padded and rust underneath the padding..only guages original were the clock and the speedo..keep it, or should I look for another car for a decent body?

  4. Anything is saveable-There are a ton of parts for Fat Fords. If you have more time than money-then take your time and go for it.
But in the long run-less expensive to find a better car and a lot less work.
