I just bought a 46 pickup, missing front sheetmetal, its in great shape , just missing a few pieces.Does anyone know if it is possible to put another year front on this rig? Maybe a car front end or whatever? It would give me a bigger target to shoot for in finding another front end.
    Thanks

  2. There have been a few posts about this same question, I don't have the links, but if you try the search you will find them.

The answer is yes, you can put different years..I put a different make front on mine.

You can bolt on a 40-41 nose as the cabs 40-46 are basically the same.

Actually, no, a 40/41 Pickup nose will not directly fit without mods. Not only will the holes not line up, buy because the trucks in 42-up went to a "truck" type frame, the cab sits higher, and the front end will not line up with the cowl.
I am lookingm for one of these, if you are interested in selling it, let me know :D
