46 kingpin question

Easy one this time-Putting new kingpins in today..
Where do the shims go?
under the bearing?
on top of the bearing,below the axle?
or above the axle?
and what sort of up-down play is acceptable?
do I shim it as tight as I can or leave some movement?
thankyou for being my workshop manual,as I dont got one.

 

Anyone?
I had to cut the old kingpins out with the trusty flame spanner,so didnt note the assembly order.

 

Shims go on top of the axle.As Little play as you can get.
Face the bearings down,so no water can collect in them.
