Does anyone know how to straighten the front grill of this Stude?

If you missed my intro, I am new to the forum and just acquired a 46 M5. It is in pretty good shape and I am going to keep it mostly stock. The rear fenders are shot so I may do gl*** on them until I find some steel ones, if anyone knows of any. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

You could probably torch 'em and straighten them that way. Don't know the actual condition of the metal. Then again you might try a pair of vise grips and needle nose pliers and work out the kinks. How bad are the fenders? You might me able to save them with some patch panels.

Hey Hopper,
If you check out Studebaker Truck Talk forum there are guys there that have parts for sale on occasion?
Grilles are still readily available.
I straightened mine using a piece of steel and a block of wood, setting the steel bar inside and driving them in line with the rest.
Best of luck with your new project!

P.S. Is the body line below the window on your p***enger-side door out of alignment with the cab line? They're all crooked that way...

Cool truck.

Just an FYI - the rear fenders are the same as the front. Knowing that opens your search up as you can use the front fenders from the bigger 1 1/2 ton trucks too.

I am ready to start rebuilding... The frame is perfect, and it seems to trash it just to put it on an S-10 or something like that... Any suggestions?
