47 - 54 chevy truck fenders??

    hey boys, building a 51 chevy pickup and i am looking for a set of front fenders, anyone make new steel fenders or anyone know of a good used set... gotta have a set. NO GLASS!! thanks, Hammer Hank.

    I think they are making new steel ones. Not sure if it was just backs or front and backs. Try the Truck Shop in Cal. they are usually the best price and service on the new stuff.

    What did you replace your coupe with? I really liked that car!

    I ordered from them just this week got the parts quick service was good, hell even got a free t-shirt. They don't have steel front fenders only fiberglass, rears are available in both though. Sorry no help for ya.

    i use a local guy who has anything and everything for 47-55 chevy trucks.
    he specializes in just those same bodied years. i never have a need to buy anything anywhere else, his inventory is amazing, his place is the "graceland" of chevy trucks.if your interested PM me for his contact info.

    I spoke with LMC about a year and a half ago about the same thing. I guess the stamping die was all f'd up and the fenders came out like crap so they went back to the drawing board. They said they expected them this past spring. When I called back in the spring they said the beginning of '06.
    I wouldn't hold my breath at this point.
    Not sure about the other companies though.

    Are you going to Knoxville to the Nats South this weekend ? I'm taking 2 sets of original steel front fenders and inner fenders to the swap meet .
