We acquired a 47 chevy coupe, not the most beautiful car ever built but like an ugly puppy it grows on you. What I would like to see are some pictures showing paint schemes and any other things that will help reduce the ugly! Thanks for your input.
One of my true loves was a 47 Chev. I swapped a 54 Buick engine, 3 spd, and rear end into the car. I put Pontiac drums and backing plates on the front so I could run chrome reversed Buick rims on all corners. I cleaned the body of all the handles, installed 57 Corvette lights, and ran lakes pipes. It sure sounded good between the big buildings of Vancouver. I sold it in 1964, to get money for university tuition. Here are two shots of it from 1962. Disregard the date on the second pic, I tried to sharpen the image up.
Without tryin to reinvent the wheel these plain and simple ones arent bad. The first one is just a model but the low stance etc, looks good.
Hi here is a pic of my 46 Coupe that is my dai ly ride. Not ugly at all. Except for a few bolt on trim items & grille it is the same as a 47. This paint was applied in 1990. My thumbnail picture is its engine. Jimmie
