New to H.A.M.B and have been searching the forums for ideas and helpful advice. I have aquired a 1947 Chrysler Windsor. Runs and drives pretty good for being 65yo. However, I am looking to use it as a daily driver and a 6v pos ground, L-head, semi-auto, strong arm steering, etc, isn't my idea of a daily driver.

Mii or universal nova front end seem to be the consensus for modernizing the drive train but the HOWTOS & details seem lacking at best. Most seem content with keeping the car stock. BUT I have recently heard of another way. Using An 87-90 dodge Dakota front clip OR, at 124" wheelbase and similar track, being able to drop the entire body on (lopping 8" from the frame & small mod for the axle rise in the rear of the frame)

    Any thoughts?
