Does anybody know how a 47 lincoln hubcap attaches to a steel wheel ?. I found this really cool set but there is no way to attach them. I cant seem to find any info on this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Dan.

They have clips on the wheel itself. You can see them here on this mutilated wheel off of my car>

I've got some Lincoln caps, and recently noticed that old VW bugs have rather similar clips. I suspect they will be available from some VW resto source...

Yeah, when I pulled the hubcaps off the rear, that was what I found. The car had a Mustang II 8" swapped in, apparently they didn't have any 15" 4 lug wheels to fit, so they butchered two original Lincoln wheels. And the car was driven like this, with only front wheel brakes, they never even bothered to hook up the rears!

I have since swapped the too narrow Mustang II rear out for a wider 8" from a 66 Fairlane. And it has proper 5 lug wheels to fit it!
