I ve seen guys using dry ice for this . Never tried . It seemed to work well and my favorite way : lazily
well idid once try to use a wire wheel which quickly heated it up and was impossible to get off cause it turns to tar this was left in the garage over night so it was nice and cool and broke off like ice chips i removed both sides in a half hour

Hey Joel, get well soon! You are fortunate, a ruptured appendix can quickly turn into a crisis. Give yourself time to heal, you need to be healthy for Mama and the family!
cripes Joel, take care of yourself!! Get better so you can get back to it. While you are resting up check out my thread on how to adapt that steering wheel we talked about a while back. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=592218
take easy there joel, i went thu the same thing the week of thanksgiving. the pain was unbareable at times and luckily i got to the hospital just in time.
Hey, I hope your surgeon didn't use an air chisel turned down low. Seriously, that was a good idea on those inner fenders.
hey joel are you missing any trim parts ? i have eliminated alot on my car and i would rather see somebody use them than sitting and gathering dust on a shelf , i have front fender side stainless, outer door handles , front clearance light glasses, and stainless covers, hood front badges , side plymouth badges, lower rocker trim ( i think just one is real good other has dents ) wing windows with frames , pm me if you need any of it and send me your info , keep up the work dave
Appendix??!? We don' need no damn APPENDIX!!!! Sorry, first thing that came to mind. Get well, man....you're an inspiration to a lot of folks on this board.

here is what i did sunday this is the inner fender well upside down with the lower skirt unscrewed from it my goal was to modify it by giving me more room but still retain stock metal i sliced a pie cut into it and over lap the remaining edges once i weld them back together i will bolt the lower skin back on which will take the new shape perfectly instant mini tub
Joel Amigo, get well soon bro, don't bust yerself open getting to aggresive. Good to see ya back at the Plymouth, nice offer from Los PunK Rod Dave. See ya at Greaserama Dave, and maybe the H.A.M.B drags or Salina. Joel take care of yourself and rock on. ~sololobo~
Dave sent you a p.m. I will be home allday working on the yard and car if you wanna swing by tring to get the grill fix i lit it yesterday buy the gas came out the knob area and scared the crap out of me dont know if i need a new valve
Hi Joel - When I had my appendix out, they told me I wasn't supposed to be lifting anything more than 10 pounds for a week. The muscles can rupture past the edges of the cuts and it gets really bad. So be careful, like lots of people I love this build and your can-do attitude.
thanks guys if i win the mega mega million we will all live in the same town im trying to take it easy but keep forgetting my wife keeps yelling at me you know something i watched the procedure on youtube they get in ya with these little tools its so cool
the first inner fender modified im still working on it adding new mounting tabs red line shows old skirt too close to moving parts green line is where i moved it too
HERE IS MARK UP FOR THE PIE CUT overlap to begin welding back together notches added to make the metal go in a straight line looks sloppy but its not very strong weld im proud all lined up now to flip it over grinded down one last time this will be coated with under coat so i dont have to finish the surface
