I thought while I was letting my welds cool for my model A to 48-52 truck box conversion, I'd ask a couple of quetions.

I really want to use my 40 deluxe whee. I'm a little thick throught the belly  so it may be a little large in diameter.

For the time being, I'm going to use the wheel in the picture below. I really like the diamter but I don't car for the style in the rod I'm building.

    1. Can I buy an adapter to put this wheel on a splined shaft? I have the adapter to put it on a keyed shaft like the older Fords had.

    2. What the heck is this wheel, anyway? It was on a column that I picked up off of a fella.......What year is it probably from?

    thanks!

"37 -48 p*** car internals will fit in the 48-51 f-1 box, steering shaft will be for a keyed wheel and the truck will have splines....thats the only differance, you will need the f-1 case and cover the rest you can steal from a p*** box.. hows that for cutting through the B.S.???"

hmmmmis those shafts are the same length and mine has a good worm on the end, why couldn't I use one of my 37 and up shafts in my F1 box and guts????

    something to try tomorrow....any input?
