48-53 Chevy/ GMC hood question

Hey guys, I have a 49' GMC and its missing the hood. I was wondering if a chevy hood will work on that truck because I have been told both ways, I figured if anyone knew it would be here! Thanks in advance

 

no i dont think they are they same do a google image search on both trucks

 

GMC hood has a raised portion on the front lip to clear the grill - Chev is straight across.

You can use the chevy hood if you use the chevy grille.
