I think this is Honest's truck. In the DFW area. You can probably get details on it from MarkX on here or maybe even Honest, but I haven't seen him on here in a while.

'53 chev photos under construction. '78 nova subframe. Truck was completely disassembled, all pieces tanked to strip and derust, frame too after subframing. Some pieces and cab required metalwork, those pieces were tanked again after repairs and welding. Then everything was E-coated - cab, fenders, doors - every piece, including frame.

Baron did you replace the upper cowl, windshield and top? I like the look of that truck including the curved glass windshield and cowl vent together.

That is exactly what I did. Also cut the dash just where it rolls over the top and welded them together.Originally was looking for a 54-55 1st series, but I found this 1950 in Texas and bought it. Six months later I found a cab in Oklahoma that had bad floors but a good top. I thought "perfect".Had the owner chop it off and send it to me. It arrived by Greyhound bus 3 months later(scenic tour route)! I like the looks of the 47-53 grille with the 54 1 piece glass.Another couple weeks and it will be "finished"(well, kinda).

Nice work. Love the section job. Don't know if you have done the doors yet, but a good trick(just in case you are not aware of it) is to separate the door skin from the door, section the door inner frame, leaving the outer skin full length.Once you get the door frame welded together, just cut off the the excess at the bottom of the door and fold it over the bottom and hammer and dolly. Saves a ton of body work/time.

Whats up Baron, I haven't done the doors just yet, i got distracted with the front fenders, i'm in the process of molding on the some 56 Olds headlights. Thanks for the tip on the doors, i do plan on pealing the door skin back and chopping the door frame, followed by suiciding the doors. i'll post pics as soon as i get a chance.

here is a pic of my 48 chevy. It is pretty rough, I plan on putting it on a S-10 chassis with a sbc. I am going to do the bodywork the best I can. I am looking for a pickup bed but will probaly build a flatbed
