Here is my old truck that I sold last fall, I am now working on a 48 GMC Suburban.

 

Does anyone have more info on this truck, I would love to know the wheel/tire combo?

 

Here's mine, still in the works. Getting ready to build a new bumper to bumper chassis for it. Should be pretty damn crazy. Its going to lay door when air'd out.

The '47 I'm building for my wife will sit nearly identical to yours. How is yours built? Camaro clip? What size tires are you running?

Hey Thanks for the compliments. Little specs on the truck....Nova subframe, 12 bolt posi Camaro rear end with 3.73 gears, 350/TH350, tire sizes are 195-75-15 front & 225-??-15. I'd have to check to make sure on the rear size. My plan is to go a little lower in the rear.

Tucked up did you bag this truck if so did you just notch the rear frame or do a full back half. I noticed it does not set on the boards. But it sets good enough for me.

my brother has a 54 Chevrolet he bought as a basket case. We have been working on it for a year now... Parts are not easy to find, and when you find it they are expensive, His truck has the "granny" four speed transmission and we are going to swap it for an automatic so we can install an open drive shaft and higher geared rear end. The granny wide ass open only runs 50mph. Gotta love that ugly 54 Chevrolet grill...the 53 looks tons better.

 

I've clipped the wife's truck with a Camaro front with discs and power steering. The rear is from a Trans Am, disc brakes with a set of 2.88's! Should be a freeway flier, and a safe/solid driver for her!

Thanks for the info. Looks like thats the perfect tire size for the stance and look she wants. Are they Cokers? Diamondbacks?

 

Unless you are one of those period correct people looking for Bias plys, stick with the diamondbacks. AS4s are a great tire.

The guy told me they were Cokers...but all they say on them is American Classics. I checked the sizes again to confirm...

This is my daily driver 49 3100, blue flame six 235, 3 inch blocks in rear and removed 2 leaves in the front.

Heres my 1947 Chevy

 

1954 Chevy one ton Panel 1951 front clip. 71 camaro subframe, 4 linked 9" under the hind end. .60 over SBC. Cruise at 85 all day Long.

 

Here's my '48.

 

Just notched the rear frame. It will lay the boards but the exhaust under the boards won't let it.

 

Now this truck gets my standing ovation.....................
