History 48 and 49 Chevy data tag question

Hi guys i have a question about the letters on early Chevy data / trim tags. I am trying to find what the VN refers to on these two tags, i am thinking Van Nuys as it does on later tags, According to the info i can find online the build plant should be just one letter, i also found one with ML. My client thinks he has a rare experimental 49-1027 Sport coupe pics the black car attached but i am not so sure i think its a regular Stylelibe Deluxe sport coupe which they made 78k of them, any ideas ? Chassis number is 20GKH295(XX)

Nothing special, but a nice car nonetheless.
