I would like to see some engine bays of Anglia's with a small Chevy. I am going to be putting one in my friend's car. Like to see headers and such. And even if you know what headers, motor mount, alt. mount and stuff you used would be cool. Haven't got the car here yet. Been putting the motor together and it's about ready to go in. We were told the last motor to be in it was a 427 Ford. So I don't think I can use anything that came with the car except the trans. mount, maybe. It had a Powerglide and we are using a T-350. Thanks ahead of time, Gene.
I built the headers for this one and then decided to drop the engine some more, so I get to start over.
Larry thanks. I see I can't use the C-J Jeep headers. They don't drop enough. Is there a chance of using in the frame headers??
Sorry just getting back to this. Can't get on a computer at work. Stock buggy spring front end. Stock steering box in stock location. Does have tube shocks. And a tube cross member/engine mount that may have to come out. Don't know yet.
Can't help with specifics. You will gain some room by using a front engine mount vs the side mounts. Of course most off the shelf headers will be designed for the side mounts being there. Front mount like a Hurst style that spans the frame rails, or you could use the stock GM type, but that needs some type of bellhousing mount or other to counteract the torque.
Yes...I was afraid that statement was coming. Have a couple of sets to start with. Of course, this is a for free project. So I expect this won't go too smoothly.
