New York City? that could be a challenge.. I'd try UShip.com. I've had pretty good success with them shipping odd things..

Thanks guys,i have a shipper, the problem is getting it to the depot,it's not rocket science, Tilt Slide Rollback using a pallet truck to lift it,then just winch it up,too easy,IMO.I tried a few guys on the HAMB Forum, but there too busy,i can't understand it,we are a tenth the size of the U.S.and transporters here would be jumping at it.It/s a C.O.D. deal so if it's a $$$payment issue ,there's no probs,I appreciate your comments ,thanks.

I don't get it... You have a shipper to move it from Ohio to NYC? If so, what's the issue? If not, that's what USHIP.COM is all about.. On their website you can log your intended load (Ohio to NYC, I presume) and the transporters "bid" on it.

My guess would be if you're talking HAMB volunteers or paid transporters, the #1 issue might be NYC. I avoid NY simply driving thru on the "highway". I cannot imagine trying to find the docks and dropping off a cab especially unarmed.

I'm not saying you won't be able to find a Uship guy, I'm saying It's likely there will be less people jumping at the chance... You could very well find someone that knows the NY and is comfortable doing this job. If I had to do this for myself, I'd want a navigator with a 12 gauge and a sidearm on my hip. Both of those items are very difficult to bring without running the risk of a very long time in the service of the State of NY. Try Uship, you have nothing to lose. Let us know how you make out.

BTW: Is this actually NY or NJ? Not that it makes much difference. I just know lots of stuff goes on ships from NJ also.

I don't go ANYWHERE unarmed. :D Except the post office because that's a felony.
