Hey All, I am the wife of 48 Chubby, and I thought I'd post that today, the 4th of July, 2013 at 9 AM my little 48 Chubby Hubby passed away in Murfreesboro, TN. We recently found out that Jimmy had Stage 4 Renal Cancer that had spread like wild fire thru his chest. This morning, his lungs just gave out. Jimmy spent a lot of time on here reading, posting and what ever else ya'll do here. He loved all hot rods, and with the help of some of his buddies, I reckon that i'll finish out the truck that I found for him..........everybody needs a hobby! Wife of 48 Chubby, Kathy
Sorry for your loss and the loss of one of our brothers. Please stick around and let us know how the build continues. And if you need any help, this is the place. We do good things here.
Sad news. Sorry for your loss. RIP Jimmy. It would be a good thing to "finish" the truck in his honor.
My deepest sympathies. Please keep us posted on how the project finishes up and feel free to use the knowledge here for any help you may need.
That's sad to hear....I'm sure you have many good memories of Jimmy, and finishing his project will be a great memorial to him. Thinking good thoughts for you and all friends and family.
Kathy,I am so sorry for your loss,,Jimmy has been a asset to this forum and his presence will be missed, you are in my prayers. HRP
Kathy, I never had the privilage of meeting your husband but from what I read here I'm thinking I would have liked him. Please accept my sincerest condolences for our loss. I think that your goal of finishing his project is a wonderful way of keeping a part of him with you as I suspect if he had been here to finish it himself the two of you would have put many miles and memories driving it together. May he Rest In Peace. Frank Burrell (fab32)
This is so sad. I'm sorry for your loss. Finishing the truck would be a great idea. Prayers to you and your family
I can't imagine the strength it takes to have to type out such a post. Keeping the truck and finishing it is a good idea. My condolences to you and your family.
Sad news, but thank you for letting us know. Condolences to you and best of luck carrying on his memory with the truck project. As others have said, feel free to stick around and we'd all be glad to try to help as much as possible.
So very sorry to hear this. My deepest condolences to you and your family and my prayers are out to you and your family in this time of sorrow.
I'm sorry for the passing of your husband. I was just reading some of his posts and he seemed like a very knowledgeable hot rodder. The advice he was giving was on the money. He seemed a very caring adn unselfish person, even in his situation he still took time out to help other people with their problems.
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss! I hope the tears of sorrow that you shed now will become tears of joy as you finish his truck and help his memory live on. God bless you.
