48 ford pick up project

    I traded my old rambler for a 48 ford pick up. I drove the rambler on the trailer and I hade to winch the the truck on!even trade. Anyway this is where i'm at with the project. I just finished installing the shifter. waht do you guy think of the ammo box? I had the cab off and there is no holes in the cab or flore. I did some sanding on the doors and it ends up its an old fire truck frome the next town. I have some pics of my shop to.

    I like the shop and the truck! the shifter?

    what direction are you taking the truck?

    It looks like you have nice painted steelies on the truck so going with a rat rod shifter mount and t handle shifter from the 60's makes me think its gonna turn into a hodge podge of ideas and wont quite have a look you are going for.

    but if you have it pictured in your head finished and it makes you happy stick with it!

    from the picture it looks like a nice truck I would resist the urge to rat it up to much

    maybe research the fire department history reletter the doors and make it a smooth mild custom.

    What shifter would look good? Its an automatic. I only went with that shifter because it came with the deal.
