Are the '49 Mercury hoods the same on a 2 door and a 4 door ?? Also same question on the '50s Thanks Much
As far as fitting on the car, 49,50 and 51 hoods fit and can interchange except that the emblem holes on the front may be different. 51 has the big emblem that sticks out and the grill surround (for lack of a bettter term) sticks out at the top to match, that is why if you nose a 51 you have to put a 49 or 50 grill surround in it.
