None of them look "right" - the middles are all fackered up. I don't care how well you make the sides smooth into eachother - it's the winsheilds, posts, and rooflines that really screw up the look.

Just like the Zimmer's. Take a Lincoln and slap a different front/rear end on it and charge a fortune. Someone mentioned earlier taking money from dumbasses - well check this out. I wish I would have thought of it first.

Man, I hate it when that happens... I'm gonna go out and apologise to my 49 coupe jus cause it has to exist in the same world as that...

I saw one of the "new" '53 Vette jobs at the Road Kings Picnic.
I was thinking. "Gee if only the factory had made such a cool looking retro car..."
It actually looks good, for a very new, very over my car budget car.
It doesn't look odd like that bird in a box.
It just looks like a cool custom Corvette, with all beter atributes of the original '53 car, only with better finished fiberglass. It works because the '53 and the new Vette have the same wheelbase, so the proportions are still there.

    That T bird....
It looks a little better if you look at it as a customized Tbird rather than an uglyfied Shoebox....

  8. Like the goofy-ass "coupe" for the S10 blazer, the "Studebaker" conversion, or the 50 Chevy conversion for the full size ones?

there is some turd-bird here in tucson with one of those shoebox conversions. i dont see why its a big seller, i understand that its maybe hard to find one in other parts of the world, but in tucson old cars are every where...i honestly know where 12- 49 and 50 shoebox coupe's are here all for sale. if someone needs one so desperately that they will resort to this kit as an option, please call me....i will be happy to intervein and help you get a real one.....:D

A guy has one at last year's Back To The Fifties....For Sale as a '49 Ford...I mentioned that I was surprised they let him show it 'cuz it's past the '64 cut-off...he insisted it IS a '49 that was customized with late model parts!?!?!? I've also seen a 90's Cadillac De Ville made into a '50 Pontiac coupe....towed behind a Gold Chainer's million $$$ motorhome....
