I'm ***uming you're talking about the 49-50 style. and I know they make fibergl*** ones, however i dont think so in steel. If they do, I'm interested!

Did you find a Merc??? 49 and 50 surrounds are pricey...from 200 to maybe 500 bucks. 51s are a bit cheaper, but they are kind of ugly.

I know a dude who will have one, but it won't be cheap...PM me if you need it.

    Good luck, -Abone.

PS. You should come to hot rod lunch tommorrow. The Subway at Rivers and Aviation at 11;30.

Check with Flat Top Bob (HAMBer) @ Owens Salvage. He is listed on the HAMB O'Dex.

You can also check with Chris in Germansville, PA. He has lots of Merc parts. His contact number is 610-767-0411.

Also, check the Merc parts thread here on the HAMB by ProStockJohn. Lots of parts information.

PM this guy "Pinstriper40" I think he was working on reproducing those at one time. Don't know what ever materialized but maybe he can help.

i'm going to (hopefully) finalize the deal on the '51 Ford i've been asking so many questions about this morning, and part of my plan is to do the front grille surround with a merc piece in the "traditional" style eventually. thanks for so many fast replies. will (hopefully) post pics up this afternoon of a new project.....

I swear I saw in OSR or Rod and Custom that they made a steel version for shoebox fords. However when i searched the web, i could not find them. If you search hard they can pop up for a fair price from time to time. Good luck!
