Customs 49-51 Merc hood interchange??

Like the title suggests, do they interchange?? I am looking for a hood to punch full of louvers..

 

Yes I'm sure they do. Only difference is the chrome below the front snout. The '49 only had mercury letters and a badge and the '51 had a rather gaudy chrome strip laid out horizontally. Jeez. I gave one of these hoods away free to a hot rod builder a few years ago due to lack of storage. Make sure the underside is not damaged and the bolt holes are not stripped.

I would think they are close if not identical in fit,,the Fords are. HRP

 

they are the same as far as fit, just different holes at the front for the merc letters and ornaments
