I'm trying to install a new set of hood springs so I can lose the broomstick:D
I have a set set of new springs from Dennis Carpenter according to the online catalog they are the correct part # although the bag says 39-48. Has anyone ever used these? To me, it seems like King Kong couldn't pull these over the hook!! Wrong part, wrong install technique? What gives? Thanks, y'all, -stick

    Hey Bump,

Whatever method you choose to install these springs, make sure it includes running some cord or tie wire through them, and tie them off prior to release! BFscrewdrivers, wood wedges, the ol' penny tick, a come-a-long all will work, but if they spring loose without bein' tied off, they usually pick expensive paint work, chrome, gl*** or you as a target!
