Yes it's original paint, original interior. I was at a car show sitting in the background listening to a guy trying to impress his friends saying " Look it's a 1952 and look it even has the OPTIONAL GMC engine". Almost fell backwards laughing.

Here is a 52 chev I built back in the mid eighties. 54 235, 2 carbs, Fenton headers, mallory dual point. 3 speed with a powerglyde rear end (3.55) stepped A arms 54 uprights and cut springs up front and 3 inch blocks out back. It got sold in my divorce sale in 1991. selling price, 3250 bucks.... man those were the days
Pictures of pictures so forgive the quality, I dont have a scanner. My 52 & some some friends 49 and 54 my buddy took w old film maybe a decade or so ago. One at the Roundup BBQ in Beyersville & One at Day of the Drags, Little River.
My first car; '53 BA HT when I was 16 in 1978. Nosed, decked & extra grille teeth. Stock drivetrain. I paid for the new chrome, paint & upholstery by cutting grass and pumping diesel fuel after school. Drove it to the 1980 Street Machine Nats at Indy. Sold in '84 while in the Navy with no place to store it.
Many 49-54 Chevys have passed through my life.. some pictures and a few others no pics Highschool daily driver 1961..Olds 303 and ran C Gas Built this one with a 430 Buick engine..sold it and it went to Japan.. Built the Watson Tribute Chevy...250-6 cyl.....drove it for 13 years and over 100,000 miles Sold it and still couldn't get away from them da## Chevys... one more came along... Another '50 Fleetline with a 235-5 speed.... Was in the process of installing a 350 V8 and a kid came by and wanted it as is...Thank You Lord !
My '52, heavily influenced by @Bullet Nose old fleetline and his pal's lavender coupe (but I will let him post those). Dropped 4.5 inches in the front via stepped arms (thanks for the how-to @droplord49), coils and '53 uprights. 3" blocks out back. Lancer caps for pizazz. Stock powertrain is 235/PG and I'm swapping in a '57 PG and read diff here in the upcoming weeks to delete the torque tube setup.
Sold this to a good friend a few years ago And have owned this Canadian Pontiac version of a Chev since 1973 (basically a Chev body and frame but came with a flathead 6 and Pontiac trim and dash)
@KingArthursKnight Very nice car. Hard to see in the pics, but is the radiator moved forward to fit the gmc? I thought it was necessary but in your pics it almost doesn't look like it is.
My 52 Ute. Still in progress, but 235, T5, 56 car rearend. Still figuring out ultimate plan, but leaning towards using a 394 Olds I have in waiting. But a V8 for sure, lowered more, and some real paint. Lowering now is just cut springs front and 2 inch blocks in the rear. Primer is how I received it when I imported from Australia. Bought a 52 4 dr sedan parts car to get this to current state, mostly for interior and trim parts.
