Hambers, I bought a 54 Belair from a fella recently that came with a bunch of extra parts. (see my other recent thread of the project....will be adding to it this evening if my want for a homemade grilled burrito doesn't take over)... He stated "two complete sun visors" but I am skeptical...nor are they my thing, so I'm going to sell them. In the photos, i've layed out the parts for "both" that I have and placed them together the way it makes sense to me...with the bracketry and trim the way I think they go, but there's also two other end pieces that don't seem to fit either. Anyone want to chime in here?
To me they aren't complete, the green bracket shown in both pics (by the center joint) are the center mount bracket, with the chrome trim cover for the bolts. The bottom pic of the two smaller brackets (with hex screws) look like the end clamps that clamp the visor to the gutter. I cant see any center support rod that goes from the visor down to the cowl. Just my thoughts, could be wrong.
But bottom one should bolt together like this This style is for a 2 piece windshield the top one should go together similar.
Anthony, thanks for that pic....yeah this is what i thought. so maybe not complete, unless some ****s in storage still.
If anyone else comes across this post, do these look like 53/54 chevy visors or what? The others i saw here doing searches were for 49/50 etc that looked the same but those bodies were fairly different.
the one with louvers is 49 Oldsmobile, it is pictured with the center bracket to mount on a two piece windshield. the other is for a one piece windshield with the center bracket mounting on the roof
I had a 53/54 visor at one time and it was one piece and not as wide as this one with no center support?
