    And then right now...

I just finished rebuilding a 235 I6 for it. It has split headers, and is getting a dual carb intake. I upgraded to the 51-54 brakes on the front, and the rear axle is out of a 74 nova. It has a v8 monza 3spd manual transmission. Going to get a painless harness for the 12volt conversion, caddy 100 amp internal reg alternator, and eventually a bag setup. Thats it really.

Ha, Action Girl I just put two and two together. I was the one that told you your fuel was leaking at the run.

Hate to say this but if this was my car... I would drop the front 2" and be done with it. Love the original color & reversed wheels, looks like a far to nice car to take that route with...

  6. slide, love what you did with buick side trim. what's the belt line trim? pontiac?

50mercfan-- thanks! Yup, that's a Pontiac piece under the quarter windows... all I know is it's 49-54... picked them up off the ground at a swap meet. The rest of the belt line is the stock 52 Chevy. I kinda liked the way the Pontiac & Buick pieces echo each other's swoop. (Would probably look even gooder on a Fleetline!)

Yeah, I have no idea what to say. Me and another guy walked infront of your car right as you parked it, and we both smelled gas. Looked down and there was a grow-ing puddle coming from under your car *shrug*.

I know what you mean, and beleive me it was not an easy decision. But it's too late to turn back and when it's done it will be a killer custom and that's what I really want.

i still gotta figure out how to post pics of mine, but its a 1952 pontiac sedan delivery. Its a canadian model so its just like a chevy except for some chrome and the grill. i jsut got it in some primer a couple weeks ago and im waitin for engine parts for the sbc thats goin into it. Its also chopped 4.5 inches with a leaned back windshield. does anyone know if the original rad will cover the sbc?

I love this thread. I want a 53 one day to honor the birth year of my mother. She's not dead or anything I just want it for that reason.

my gf saw one on the "donate your car for kids" tow truck today. (might have been a 54 though, it was missing the trim and had different tail lights)
I'm trying to get ahold of the auction company to find it. she saw that same car running last week at the "Mr. Tires" down the street, so it can't be too far from road worthy.
