'49-'54 floor chevy change

just browsing and saw this car and spotted that it appears to have a floor shift

Is this standard or is it likely to be a home-brewed job? I thought about doing it once using a truck transmission but the truck gearbox is shorter and needed a modified cross-member, so it didn't happen.

Definitely not factory issued, and from what I can see of it, looks homemade.

 

It's a do it yourself installation.
