Anyone have a book that will tell the stock track width on the front axle of a '49-'55E and a '55L to '58 Chevy/GMC truck?
I'm not a member over there. I did a search, but it mainly just talked about IFS track widths and S10 frames.
I didn't see the wheel track listed, but Nostalgia Sid's Dropped Axels, www.droppedaxles.com listed kingpin to kingpin widths, and spring to spring widths, and some other measurements, if that will help.
I have a book that lists track widths, but I'm at work right now. I can look into it this evening and get back to you.
47-55 1st is 57.6" front, 60" rear 55-59 is 60.5" front, 61" rear This is per the "Standard Catalog of American Light Duty Trucks" by Krause Publications
Anyone have to total specs on a 1952 3100 chevrolet pickup rearend? i mean housing fron inner flange, drum width and wheel mounting surface to surface. Is the 4x4 S-10 still the one to go to?thanks
These frame swaps have fallen out of favor on the HAMB but were quite prolific back in the day, does that make them traditional now Search is your friend. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/frame-s-10-frame-swap-tech.8491/ https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/definitive-s-10-frame-swap-vehicle-list.274702/
