I picked up a 49 chevy fastback 2 door that is going under the knife. Just wondering if anyone has any pics or info on one. I have done a couple of sedans before but I want a new challenge. Anything could be usefull. Thanks

  9. some more pics , all in bare metal for now, all lead filler, still need to do some more final bodywork and welding, got paint scheme finally decided on , my first chop and first time doing leadwork
if chopping a fleetline use the BASS method i downloaded pics off hamb site and cut accordingly , dropped back down and every thing lined up correctly the ONLY new metal in ENTIRE chop is four 8 x 1 inch triangle slivers on c pillars !! quit cutting up the rear fenders on these cars ! make it easier on yourself! thank you to BASS for putting up build pics, helped me alot! chopping a top on a 51 chevy coupe now will put up pics later

  13. was going to take it last year but the hood ornament light socket fell out and when i started the car it got caught by the fan and blasted a hole in the radiator! this happened on the day before, just got pissed and took my 63 ford unibody truck, i plan on driving it out this year, i will have it all totally smoothed out with lead and still in bare metal , i want bill and brad to sign the dash ,if they will

Here is most of the pics I have of mine on this computer.

It all depends on how you look at the cars and what you want in you end product.

Take a look at the ones that BASS did. They are about the finest example that I have seen.

  18. havent done side glass yet , waiting till iam done with welding and grinding ( 6 pieces off glass not to worry about breaking or pitting) , the one piece windshield came out of a 53 pontiac and fit perfectly after having it cut down for height, glass guy put a 5 inch run in it , but i only paid 25.00 for it at a junkyard , so what are you going to do??? Dane snatched up the only other one that would work at that junkyard!!! at least a good guy got it!
