You have good taste and skills...I hate you, nah your alright Looks amazing, beautiful metalwork, keep it up!
The pictures DO NOT do it justice. Brian, words escape me. Can't wait to see the sun bouncin' of that ride. Righteous work, man.
Thanks Ed! PnP is on the agenda as the next show for the car. It should be moving under its own power by then. Ebbspeed, it's a late 350 with a Lunati cam and 2x4's. I'm trying to dress it up to more or less give the appearance of a late 50's Vette motor. Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement guys.
does anyone know what particular areas close to, and around ,wendover that would have a reasonable choice of accomadation for the 08 speedweek .it seems Wendover itself is booked out ,although most of the motels havent caught up to online booking yet! any help for an aussie who is half way around the world who is trying to book a motel !!!!
Merc hood latch support in progress... Headlights mostly leaded in. I have to wait until I finish the grille surround to do the bottom seam of the headlight rings... I'm about to go cut up the front bumper in a few minutes. It's probably going to be a pain in the ass if the rear bumper was any indication... Lastly for now, who can tell me what's strange about the dash? (other than the fact that it's 'Christmas Tree' green?)
Wow....keep cranking, that's awesome.... Other than the fact it's on the 'wrong' side (sorry, us aussies get that all the time), isn't that dash from an earlier model? Cheers, and look forward to seeing the bumper mods.. Cheers, Drewfus
Some people are craftsmen, some are artists. Few are both. That's a sheetmetal sculpture, dude. Can't wait to see it finished. Snipe
Yeah, you guys are of course right....It's a 53-54 dash. I thought it would lend itself to the "concept car" vibe that a good custom should have. That, and it'll mess with peoples' heads because it's not too much different than the stock '49 dash. Also, the '49 "cyclops" gauge cluster is a little goofy looking and I like this one better.....it's sleeker.
wow man..lookin killer...its wierd looking at the merc hood, etc and seeing it on a chev..IT looks so correct...haha..bitchin man..Makes me want to get started...
Wow This is my favorite chevy slant back till this I thought they were kind of bleek but you definitly cleaned house with this project...
That dash is a nice touch, I love the Chrome on there. You've come a long way from shaving one of Mark's door handles.
I am amazed. That is a quality built car. Not like that junk they build on television! Keep on weldin'!
