49 Chevy stock springs

The centering pin on stock leafs are they 2 or 3 inches forward ?

I believe it is 1-1/2" forward.

 

On trucks it's 1-3/4 forward of the center line of the axle. If you still have the old axle with it's pad that the U bolts fasten to on it flip it over an measure from the center of the pin hole in the pad to the center line of the axle.

 

On cars they are 1-1/2"
