[IMG]so im fairly new here, and i spend most my time on motorcycles,i did post an intro about a year ago.well this car is a '49 dodge coronet that i got about 10 years ago.it was in mint unrestored condition,i got it for $1500,and i felt kinda bad when i took it apart and started chopping it up.what i originally planned was to put a 3208 cat motor in it and triple turbo it.i put an '85 corvette front end on it,got the engine mounted in it,built the stainless headers, then i got busy on other projects...didnt have any money to dump into it,so it just sat in the corner for years.so the other day,one of my business ***ociates, was hangin out,and he said it was such a waste to have such a cool car that would only run once a year at bonneville,i forgot to mention,i was buildin it for bonneville.
so i thought about that for a couple days, figured i'd maybe dig through all my stuff and just put a different drivetrain in it,and get it goin.
my son and his buddies are like 15 years old,i havent pushed them towards bein gearheads, but they beg me everyday to come to the shop in the afternoons to learn this stuff,so i figured, what the hell!

[IMG]ok, i try and build everything without spending money,so i dont know what hotrod buiding etiquette rules are,but i got this car for free a few years ago,the guy said it ran when he parked it.so i figured it might work for a drivetrain...i'll obviously have to get the teenagers some degreaser and wire brushes...maybe a pizza or two.

sorry people,i was so busy loadin pics on this slow computer i didnt notice the comments.the front window i shaped like that cuz i wanted it to look like eddie munsters forehead.yeah its a cat motor, the reason i set it back so far was cuz its so heavy, and i was gonna make this a land speed racing car,so i was gonna sit stuffed in the back seat somewhere.i got a semi truck for free,so i pulled the motor and put it in here.but i sometimes have kind of outrageous plans, and do stupid ****.i'll try get some better pics tomorow.i usually work pretty fast though,so i could see most the body mods done in a month or so in my spare time.i gotts kinda try n work on customer stuff during the day.

those late 70s lincoln wheels shine up nice.. on late 70s lincolns. other than that they wont look good on much else. and they match a mid 80s big chevy lug pattern like the cadillacs and such.
