Do I have to cut up the floor to have space for a th700?

 

Should fit stock tunnel. Will obviously be cross member modifications though

 

I don't think the 700R4 is any larger than a TH350, the TH350 in my '50 Fleetline fits with unmodified floor/firewall

 

plenty of room under the floor

 

If you have the 700, use it. If your looking for an OD trans, the 200r is bout the same size as a th350

 

700r4 is roughly same length as a long tail shaft(truck) th350. Car th350 is like 5-6" shorter
