There are some great fleetline posts on here if you dig around. Here's one of mine where we chopped my fleetline: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=78310&highlight=stickylifter Go to 50chevy.com. Aaron has some good stuff up there. Also search for the post from Cyclebilly about his fleetline. Chopped with caddy rear fins. Good luck!
if you're going to chop it i think thats the wrong way to chop it, chopping it like that makes the car look like a wedge, unless you like that i would choose another way of chopping it. here is a better version that keeps the lines of the roof and looks ten times better. but then again its your car.
you wanted some cool ideas, here's one i don't think you should chop it, but if you do, do it the way Relay said, looks alot better than trying to make a new roofline, but that might look even better if you get it right. And please don't paint it, do you know how long it takes to get the paint like that? me neither, but it looks great! the pipes are supposed to look like copper but i screw up... good luck with the build, i'm hoping for more pics when it's "done"
i greatley appreciate all the feed back guys this is my first real hot rod project for myself, so im not used to what I want instead of what everyone else wants... that photoshopped picture is pretty badass, and i am sure to chop it and it'll be have a pretty big mill at 500 caddy cubes along with a few other modifications do the engine and body
