That is one nice chop! I am just getting started on building my dad a '49 Coupe mild custom. We were not planning on chopping it, but now...... Nice work!

  4. Well I'm lovin' it! It's a demonstration of the art disguising the art so it looks "factory", which also equals so natural and so right. Great work.

X38 nailed it right on the head.It does look natural without getting right in your face. It's exactly how Kenny and I envisioned it. When it's all done, I want people to say"nice car. What's different about it?"
Now, onto some more lowering. I've dropped the front 3 and the rear 1. I'd like to go 2 more at both ends. I've got a pair of metal bubble skirts waiting. Thanks to Bugman for the tech post about grinding whitewalls, took me about 6 hrs to do the 50 including demounting and remounting.

Hey Choprods, its a good thing you got the polaroid out. Everybody who,s lik'n this chop and diggin this 3 and 4 inch stuff better remember what it looks like, cuz Al's gonna drag his sled home, get a couple of Budweiser's finest in him, and as usual 3"-4" is gonna be 10"-12". You know blurred vision and all. Looks great, should have been an option in '49

Yea, My 3"-4" usually gets to be 10-12 when I'm bragging!

I'm disappointed that no one pointed out that this is a 50.

  9. Very cool indeed. Perfect proportions and proof that sometimes, less is actually more. :)

I also can't believe how little damage you did to the surrounding paint! Nice work.
