OK, I got the thing here, now I feel violated. Someone has been "foolin around" with the gennie wiring. Here's what I got; on the generator: Large post on back, not stamped: I ***ume it's "bat" Small post on side marked "field" : easy enough Small post on side marked "gnd" : is this "arm"? The regulator is marked bat, field, arm. Seems simple enough, there is a large yellow wire on bat going into the car, from there it's fubar. I believe, the yellow is the feed for the car and thus should be hooked to bat on the regulator, I also ***ume the large terminal on the gennie is bat and that wire should go to bat at the regulator too. Field goes to field I'm sure. Should I ***ume the gnd terminal on the gennie should be hooked to "arm" on the regulator? There are no other terminals on the generator. Should there be any other wires that I'm missing or is that about it? Thanks!!
the large post on the back goes to the ARM post on regulator. F goes to the fld post on reg, g goes to ground...i usually run it to one of the reg mounting bolts. bat on the regulator goes to the cars ammeter/ wireharness w
check the tech archives,i'm pretty sure we've been over this before. i only use 2 fingers for typing, they'd be worn out by the time i got done
