somebody help me to feel good about spending $150+ on Gambino's notch versus half that for a generic fullsize pickup notch... frame in front of the axle is 3 inches, and behind is 1.5 inches. This car is getting trailing arms from a 60's chevy truck, and bags. Thanks for the insight guys,
The nice thing about the Gambino notch from what I've heard is that it compensates for the rails narrowing over the rear. That in itself might be worth it. PM Alex, I'm sure he'd give you the whats what.
Here's a pic of the rear frame I tell myself that it'd be some more work, but worth the $ savings to make it myself... with the price of steel now though, it's actually cheaper to get the kit... well, the cheap kit anyway... Then once i decide to buy a kit its... "heck, it's only another 70 bucks for the Gambino notch" and around I go. I need someone to help me justify spending that kind of money for something I could do myself... maybe not as pretty, but just as functional.
