49 Ford rear end?

I would like some help in identifying the rear end that I just took out of my 32 Plymouth. I had thought that it was a Ford 9". Then I was thinking it was the original 32PB rear end. I have been told it is not. I have come across some pictures that lead me to believe that it is out of a 49 Ford. I have seen some postings that indicate that this is not a desireable rear for a hot rod. Please confirm that this is a 49 Ford, and please let me know if this is of any value.
