I did the JAMCO thing on the front of my car disc brakes control arms power streering etc now I am ready for a steering column but as of yet I have found nothing that fits the bill

The idea was to have everything on the column lights wipers hazards ect
does anyone make such a column or am I relegated to having a messy dash

You could use a stock late model column that has all that but they are usually kinda ugly imo. The 50 coupe I just sent out the door had a stock column in it with the end modified to take a 3/4 double D u-joint. I used a bearing and a shaft stop from the local hardware store on the bottom. One note Ford steering shafts are not 3/4 they are slightly larger. As for having knobs on the dash they are already there. I used repro ones and welded the holes and redrilled for different switches then drilled and tapped the knobs for small set screws. I also added an extension to the side of the outside air control mount on the column drop for the ignition switch and swapped the right side air with the interior light switch. A lot of work but it looked good and stock on the inside. I also replaced the clock with a tach.

  3. 55,
What kind of bearing and stop did you use? I never see anything like that at the local stores. Thanks
