Hi again. My friend's got another great score, and after the 1937 Ford I have mentioned earlier, he got himself a barn-find of a 1949 Mercury. Yes, a 49 Merc Coupe, in the Czech Republic, stored in a barn for decades. I'll try to post photos later. But, to the point. He obviously wants to make it a mild custom (probably no chop, no huge body mods, just lowering, shaving, side skirts etc.), and he wants to go air suspension route. I'm not sure whether air is even HAMB worthy enough, but I'll ask anyway. Any tips for a good vendor for 49 Merc airride? And also - the thing has no engine and no tranny - we have two drivetrains available, a 289 from a Ford Mustang fastback, and some kind of SBC from El Camino. We're leaning towards the Ford - would you go that route? The front end is pretty much missing, so I think we won't be destroying any historical value by not returning a flathead in there...
