Technical 49' merc steering adapter ?

    I have a 1949 Merc , I am running the stock steering column . I bought a Moon eyes wheel and they said when i ordered it that grant made an adapter , they were wrong moon eyes sent me the adapter that suppose to fit my column and it doesn't. the adapter i got is a spline style and I need a key way style for my column . does anybody know of a solution.

    there is a guy on ebay that sells the key way adapters cant remember his name but he sells a lot of stuff for different steering wheels.

    Try one for pre 48 Ford ,that will be a key style.
     
  4. I've never seen any kind of adapter for that kind of column. Not to hard to make one. There's a couple threads on here about how to do it.

    Thanks for the input guys , I found that a pre 48 ford adapter speedway had it and with a little modifying i was able to get the wheel on yesterday , I will put up pics soon
