want to make a floor shifter, read all the other posts on making them, but mine has two selectors coming out of the tranny, and i did not hear anyone mention that in the other threads. one does not "seem" to move, but the other shifts through. any help, for i do not have the car it came out of to look at the linkages.

that other lever is the one that hooks up to the throttle linkage and tells the trans when to shift.
    you need it.
    seriously.
    i'm totally not kidding.

do you have the option of keeping the column shifter?

no, i will have cowl steering, so can't column shift. guess i gotta ask those dumb questions sometimes....but a "pivot and lever" will work then since in the other post you said it would not go into reverse unless you are under 5mph. is that correct?

pivot & lever will work just fine.
    keep a lookout for a dual-range hydra-matic ,the "S" range is a blast :D

Not the best picture, but you can just catch a bit of the throttle linkage going forward. The lever closest to the case is the shift arm and the outer is the throttle.
Yorgatron- what did you think of the floor shifter I did?
