    picked up a new project. 49 olds fastback with a straight 8. having trouble finding straght 8 performance parts. any help??
     
  2. Welcome to the HAMB. Nice chose for a project. Performance parts for the straight eight are hard to come by but they do show up in the cl***ifieds here on the HAMB sometimes. Good luck!

    working on pics, think it may be a 48 due to the straight 8. this was a project that fell on my lap with a 27 T. I am building a 73 nova pro touring car that has consumed a pile af money and will be building the next car on a tighter budget. hope to have current pics of all soon.

    car ends up being a 1948 78 club sedan dynamic

    still no luck finding speed parts for 257 straight 8

    decided to build 2x2 intake

    It would be much easier and much, much cooler to bolt a 303/324/371/394 Kettering V8 in that than to find go fast stuff for that old ironing board straight 8. While there isn't much good stuff for your current engine, there is a wealth of info and help for the Rocket V8 here, on the HAMB. Become a Rocketeer...
