Did you make any prgress on the engine swap? I have a 49 silver streak and wanted to swap out the Straight 8 for either a 454 BBC or a 250 inline 6, yeah I know one extreme to the other but I want something to burn the tires off or just cruise. I was trying to find a weld in crossmember unit maybe and start from there but not sure yet. Last time I asked about what direction I should take in dropping the hopped up inline 6 with dual carbs everyone said "why not just drop a SBC in it?" I dont want to be the same as everyone I like to be different. Hopefully next winter I will have a large boat anchor saying pontiac on it
