    Hello,

I am building a 46 Chevy Coe hauler. I will be using a 2002 4l80e transmission behind a 73 454. I will be using a basic wiring kit to wire the truck. Will I need a conversion harness for this transmission? Or can I modify the existing harness to work with my basic wiring kit?

You will require a separate ECU to control the transmission.
Powertrain Control Systems (PCS), TCI, Chevrolet Performance (GM), CompuShift, and Painless produce kits. Don't forget the electronic speedo conversion to mechanical. Shiftworks and Cable X converts the electronic VSS (vehicle speed sensor) output into a mechanical-drive cable
