Just curious what all cars are running a 5 on 5 bolt pattern. the 60 cad runs 5 on 5 x 15's. I'd love to go with something different. Not sure what,

debated chrome smoothies with baby moons and 3.5 inch wide whites, still pretty much thinking to go that way.

Then thought about torque thrust 5 spokes with 3 inch wide whites, but I see that on everything around here.

Then thought about doin the 18 or 20 inch torque thrusts with blackwalls,

then even thought about doing nascar black wagon wheels with raised white lettered tires.

Heck, I dunno what to do anymore. Any suggestions greatly appreciated

forgot to mention, since that photo I've ditched the hubcaps since they kept falling off, added a skull in the back window with eyeball lights that work with the brakes and turn signals, and future plans include much de-chromification, and a repaint in the same gloss black. Also, debating a white top, or maybe silver metalflake, but prolly just stick with black. Suggestions welcome [IMG]

How much dechromification can you do on that Caddy...most of the chrome on that car is integral to the overall look.

Door handles, side trim, hood and trunk ornaments...what else???

As for color on that four door hardtop, go with the silver...as for wheels, IMHO, stay with something from that era...don't try to bring those skulls into the 21st century with 18's or 20's...it don't fit!

as to dechromification.. first of all, I love that word, secondly. I plan on removing door handles, door edge guards, eyebrow molding over the headlights, front and rear V's and Cadillac insignias, and the front wheel well moldings. I like the strips that run on the sides, but I think the vertical chrome strips ruin the look. Otherwise I agree, most all of the chrome and polished stainless looks great. Just a few things that bug me that's all. I kinda agree about the raised whites. I've seen a few photos of em last night, and all I can say is 1980's. I think some 15's or 16's smoothies with wide white's are the way to go. Maybe I'll just ditch the center baby moons, or add some spikes or chariot blades or something.

If you were at all serious about the wagon wheels, Chevy Astro vans had them for a lot of the early years and they are 5 on 5.

And lose the door edge guards today...! [IMG]
They should pop off, without further damage, with a tap from the palm of your hand on a popsicle stick or some other non paint marring tool.
Although they may be hiding an already inged up door edge.

GM full sized cars are 5x5 like on the 91-96 roadmasters, caprices, and fleetwoods - as were the full size trucks for many years.

    Lots of choices. Good luck.

Tri-rib Radirs would look cool. Blackwalls or skinny whites.

  12. caddylak, I like the Torq Thrusts on wide whites, but I'm partial and not everyone likes mag style wheels on WW's, and on a lot of cars I'd agree, but on a cad I think they look great! Here's a pic of my car.

I'm with DocJ. Remove those chrome door protectors ASAP and it will improve the look of that car tenfold. Those things are so disruptive.... [IMG]

Like stated above, the 91-97 Caprice is 5 on 5, and the cop rims are 15x7 steelies.

  15. I'm looking for TWO '60 Cad rims... the stock ones. I have two, and need two more for my F-100. (which is going to have Chevy pu suspension under it).

When you switch to something else...let me know how much you want for a couple of them... plus shipping...

You can e-mail me at sstrube@tusd.net

    Thanks man!

    Sam.

FWIW, I think your caddy looks good stock... or would look neat with some 17" Torque Thrusts!

I think wide whites and full moon disks would be cool on there, but not everyone likes moon's.

think most of my cars are 5X5 so keep in mind chev trucks & vans use 5X5 & 91-95 caprices so finding mags is pretty easy hard part is fitting them in your rear wheel wells i think that Cad would look great with moons screwed on and wide whites but could see with 13" spokes & tiny whites org low rider look

I will be replacing these fine 5x5" vette style rallys that are on my Buick, with some Milner styled wheels soon. They could be yours, although I think they would look like shit on there too.

Well Dubbya, I gotta agree, Don't think I'll be needen em. I'm pretty much thinkin the chrome smoothies, but maybe still the 5 spoke torque thrusts. Either way wide whites. Door edge guards are gone!!! :)

I agree on the Radir tri-rib suggestion. Tres Batmobile chic. Would go with the 'horror show' skull theme too. I heard Abomber30 is a dealer.

Another possibility if you're liking the 5-spoke idea, Radir is having a clearance sale on their bullet spoke wheels in 5-on-5 pattern. Check their 'garage sale' section.

IMHO the Torque Thrust wheels scream 'muscle car' in most cases.

  21. jdubbya how much you looking to get for 'em? What width are they? I have a fullsize Chevy PU that is my daily driver and the chrome Milner's are wasted and was thinking about going with a set of Ralleyes. Send me a PM
