Oh man I had forgotton all about this car over the last year or so. Glad to see the latest pics and I can't help but admire all the time and effort you put into this one.
effing sick job on the car. I think you were joking about the learning thou. I have worked with people who have done tons of them and yours came out way better. you have a killer eye on the way the lines flow.
just found this tonight. its the first time i looked at every page. kinda like watching a movie. cogradulations on a great lowbuck and very talented build.
I'm new to the site and found this while checking new post. Went from start to finish, your work is amazing and the amount of time taken is unbelievable. I've done some body mods, but nothing like this. My hat is off to you.
I love the old guy at the start of the video asking when it will be done!! But seriously, phenomenal work on the car. Wish I had a free car to try that on, and a garage to work out of. I'd even take the snow along with it.
I just found this thread tonight and the car looks freakin' awesome. The amount of work you put in that thing is ridiculous. It turned out incredible. Super impressed!
Found this after seeing the Ol' Skool Rodz spread. Amazing car! One of the best, definitely an inspiration and credit to your skills. Love the lines, and think the green wheels are perfect. Oh, and I say keep it bare
I love this car. Screw the pictures, you really need to see it up close to completely appreciate it. Brent, here's an idea for you. The idea is totally free, and worth every penny. Right now, you're having shitloads of fun with it the way it is. Hell, you live in Manitoba, and I saw the car in Indianapolis! I'd say that qualifies as "shitloads of fun." But, someday down the road- put it in paint. Nothing too garish- don't let the paint try to upstage the metalwork. Just something simple, elegant and sickeningly well executed. Oh, and piss on the asshat who dissed your Rambler- My first car ride ever was in a '63 Classic!
Neat photo, Blood& whiskey. The Vette lights look like they really are there, and looks like in the right spot too. Turned out better than I thought it would.
Thanks guys, the car has been great fun and is now undergoing some needed tlc new wiring front to back and fresh'n up the motor a little and do some front end work. We hope to make if back to the Road Rocket show again next year.
An old thread but a good one, although I love all the metalwork involved, still don't agree with the drastic trunk section, I think it's a wee bit too much, but I do aplaud saving an old classic from the scrap heap. What's the latest with this one, how many miles have you put on it, what's your latest plans, etc.. Cheers
Actually going to be pulling it in this summer to do a little rust repair and some tlc. Fix some gaps rewire the car and redo the trunk the way I wanted to the first time. haha As for miles think I've got almost 6000 miles on it since I built it.
