Note much of an update just been welding welding welding front fenders done and the rear trunk lid. Got a little bored of welding and decided to strip all the paint off.
Whats up with all these Canadians cutting these cars up? Just kidding. Dude this car looks killer! I like the trunk treatment youve done, I should probably do the same to mine but Im so done ! Time for bodywork! Seriously it looks like you have done this before. Its very well excecuted and flows nice job keep posting.
Wow, what a difference. You've got a lot of excellent ideas and talent. It looked hopeless on the trailer....Mike
Made a little progress today had to fix the buggered side of the car and started mocking up the front bumper. Had a spare back half of a car so figured I'd add the full filler to the back of the car Just checking for fit and have to build the back half of the rear fender to kick up to the panel yet.
Nice!! Bumper flows good with the grille opening! I didn't see it listed (maybe I missed it?) What is the front bumper from?
Well found more cancer and in to a good spot either Shot of the front again just have to make brackets for the bumper now (yep it's olds) Now seeing as I don't have any guages or anything for this dash I think a transplant is in order And in with the new well at least try to figure out how to put this in there Almost there.. Pretty close now. Dash in and top welded anyway
Mocked up the rear bumper tonight think I'm going to add some bumperets on there sides to to either end just to fill the void on either side.
This is a classic example of what happens when it gets cold in the winter in Canada, and we can't venture outside except to work in the shop. My Pontiac had the same rust around the tops of the windshield. I'm still trying to figure out why the roof would rust there? Keep at 'er. Looks good.
all this, AND you while you're doing it you take photographs that look like they're from a magazine?!? Not too shabby.
Nice work i am glad to see all the progress you have done. I cant belive how bad ass it looks already!!!
hoitink, thanks a bunch for all the pics, and the note about sectioning the trunk. Keep up the good work, I'm right behind ya! Thom
looks proportioned just right. You made it look easy, but I know it was a shit load of work, nice work.......I can't wait to see it sslammed!
Two and a half weeks! You could have said two and a half months and I would have been impressed. Impressive work, you really do make it look easy. That's dangerous, now I think I could do this. It would take me 2 and a half years, though, to get this far.
That's lookin' just plain bad ass man! you should think about running the exhaust thru those ovals in the rear bumper (I would!)
What the HELLLL MAN!!!??/!!!!!!! Damn youre good, you make that mess look easy. Lord. good for you. my computer just got a crap load of saved pics from this.
Mad cutting and welding skills! That's one of those projects that you have to keep a good head of steam going. Everything (maybe) else is a piece of cake from what you've accomplished. Bob
Yep, sure is easy. I saw it on the internet. I'm on my way out to the shed with a camera. I'm gonna chop up my '52 and show you how easy it is to put back together. If I'm not back by midnight I might need some help.
What I really wanted to say is that of all that work you've done, I think the trunk impresses me the most. I've seen lots of guys struggle with that and you had a better idea. One I can use. Thanks. The rest of the car is looking great too. Even the section, which I don't normally like. Pete
