Hot Rods 50 chev panel straight axle lift

    I'm planning to do a lift on the front of my 50 chev panel (ambulance), a gasser look.

    Is there a "how to" on the H.A.M.B. that goes into the process? I've done a couple searches and haven't found anything yet.

    First, is it a Panel Truck (truck based), or a Sedan Delivery (car based)?

    If you have an ambulance built from the car platform and just want the look of a gasser, an inexpensive route to go is through the use of riser blocks. There's a series of 16 3/8" diameter bolts that hold the front suspension crossmember to the frame. Unbolt those and either fabricate blocks to the desired height or purchase some I-Beam steel or tubing and slide it between the frame and crossmember. Here's some example's:
