50 Chevy patch panel wisdom needed

So this is my first panel project. It's far from perfect but I'm happy to see metal in place of chicken wire, bondo and expanding foam! The inner panel panel has been damaged and giving me more trouble than expected. I was wondering if anyone has any pics of how they closed up the back end of the panel so I can see what can be done to finish this up.

the inner rocker should go the whole way back from what i remember .
